ICSC@Florida 2026: From the Show Floor to the Ground Floor, Wyld Oaks Is on the Rise

The future is looking up at Wyld Oaks. Literally.

Following a successful ICSC@Florida 2026, held August 30 through September 1 in Orlando, our team left energized by the conversations, connections, and growing interest surrounding Northwest Orlando.

One message came through loud and clear: this part of Central Florida is moving from potential to presence. And Wyld Oaks is rising at the center of it.

A Major Milestone: Wyld Oaks Is Going Vertical

One of the biggest updates we shared at ICSC@Florida is also becoming one of the most visible: vertical development is officially underway at Wyld Oaks.

Hathaway Development is moving forward with the first 325 multifamily residences at Wyld Oaks. The project marks an important new phase for our 215-acre mixed-use destination and brings the first new rooftops directly into the development.

This milestone builds upon the major infrastructure already completed across the site, including main roads, landscaping, hardscaping, and core utilities.

Wyld Oaks is no longer simply a vision for what Northwest Orlando could become. It is taking shape now.

Growth Is on the Move

The infrastructure surrounding Wyld Oaks is advancing alongside Northwest Apopka’s rapid growth.

The expansion of W. Kelly Park Road is slated to begin this fall, bringing a new four-lane roadway, landscaped median, expanded sidewalks, and other improvements designed to support the area’s continued evolution.

Wyld Oaks sits at the center of that progress, adjacent to the W. Kelly Park Road interchange, with direct access to SR 429 and convenient connections to I-4. More than 2,500 feet of frontage along SR 429 also gives the destination exceptional visibility along one of Central Florida’s most important expressways.

And growth tends to attract more growth.

With Walmart coming to the Kelly Park corridor, the interchange is gaining even greater commercial momentum and creating new opportunities for retail, dining, hospitality, services, multifamily, and more.

The Rooftops Are Rising. Opportunity Is Close Behind.

Apopka’s population boom has outpaced its commercial development. That gap is creating significant demand for the restaurants, retail, healthcare, services, entertainment, and hospitality that today’s residents want closer to home.

More than 2,200 new homes are being built within two miles of Wyld Oaks, including communities from many of the nation’s leading homebuilders, such as Lennar, Pulte, Toll Brothers, D.R. Horton, and K. Hovnanian Homes. Within five miles, more than 13,000 future and active housing units are in the pipeline.

Those rooftops represent more than population growth. They represent future customers, patients, employees, diners, shoppers, guests, and neighbors.

The audience is arriving. Wyld Oaks is creating the place for them to gather.

Room to Grow. Room to Get WYLD.

Major co-creators across residential, industrial, and healthcare are already putting down roots at Wyld Oaks, including Hathaway Development, Cadence Partners, Clarion Partners, and AdventHealth.

But there is still plenty of room to help shape what grows here next.

Wyld Oaks offers more than 300,000 square feet of planned retail opportunities, including ground-floor retail and available outparcels, alongside more than 30,000 square feet of Class A medical office space in Town Center.

As a fully entitled mixed-use destination, Wyld Oaks offers the flexibility to collaborate with co-creators across a wide range of uses, concepts, and site configurations. This is more than an opportunity to enter a growing market. It is an invitation to help define one.

Ready to Build What’s Next?

At ICSC@Florida, we connected with potential co-creators excited by the opportunities beginning to take shape at Wyld Oaks. Now, we are continuing the conversation with retail, food and beverage, entertainment, hotel, healthcare, and other concepts ready to grow alongside Northwest Orlando.

If we missed you at the show, there is still time to get in on the ground floor. Explore current opportunities at Wyld Oaks and discover where your concept could fit.
